The Molholm Area Plan was adopted in July 1996. The Molholm area is one of the more diverse neighborhoods within the City of Lakewood in terms of social, economic and physical conditions. Located in the northeast section of the City and bounded by the four major transportation corridors of Colfax Avenue, 6th Avenue, Sheridan Boulevard and Wadsworth Boulevard, the Molholm area attracts people seeking good residential and business opportunities in an affordable and convenient environment. The Molholm Area Plan addresses the neighborhood's concerns with balancing the interface between residential, commercial, and industrial properties as well as the associated traffic and crime issues that can occur when mixing residential, commercial and industrial properties.
