Neighborhood Organizations
The City of Lakewood encourages neighborhood organizations to take an active role in setting directions for their neighborhoods. Through registered neighborhood organizations citizens have opportunities to become involved in local government and strengthen their community. Benefits of participating in a registered neighborhood organization include improved communication with neighbors and a raised awareness of the neighborhood's needs, concerns and desires. Registered neighborhood organizations also receive important information about land-use proposals or changes within or near the neighborhood's boundaries. For assistance on forming or registering a neighborhood organization, contact June Graklanoff at 303-987-7515,
