2008 Special Recognition Recipients
Front Range Lumber: For providing sustainable building products to the Lakewood community.
Lakewood Housing Authority, Residences at Creekside Senior Housing: For using efficient and environmentally sustainable design in the construction of the facility and providing housing for low-income seniors in Lakewood.
Denver Federal Center: For the Denver Federal Center Waste Reduction & Recycling Programs, which has recycled approximately 7,500 tons of material to date.
Village Roaster: Village Roaster is being recognized for their efforts in waste reduction and recycling as well as providing coffee grounds to the community for composting.
Mile Hi Church: For incorporating sustainable design elements into the construction of their new sanctuary.
Kurowski Development: Recognized for the home constructed at 1840 S. Manor Lane, which is both an energy star qualified home and certified as Built Green by Built Green Colorado.
Propp Realty Management: For implementing the recycling program at the Golden Hill Office Centre.
