Lamar Station Area Plan

The Lamar Station Area Plan is being developed to address development and land uses in the area adjacent to the future Lamar Light Rail Station. The Lamar Light Rail Station will be a neighborhood walk-up station, serving residents and businesses in the Two Creeks and Edgewood neighborhoods. The majority of the area within ¼ mile of the future light rail station consists of large, industrially-zoned properties, many of which are vacant. Redevelopment of this are will include improved street connectivity, pedestrian and bike accessibility, higher density residential development and a pedestrian-scaled street edge. It is anticipated the light rail line will open in 2012.
