Tours at Heritage Center

Experience Lakewood's unique past with a visit to Lakewood Heritage Center...a 20th Century Museum. Historic buildings, artifacts, exhibits and educational programs offer an opportunity to explore the history of Lakewood.

Guided Museum Tours

Explore Lakewood's distinct past with an hour-long guided tour. Stroll through historic Belmar Park, once home of The Denver Post Heiress May Bonfils-Stanton, as you hear about life in early Lakewood. An experienced guide will lead you through the museum’s historic structures such as the 1930s house, the 1948 Valentine Diner and the 1920s Country School.


Guided tours leave the Visitor Center at 11 am & 2 pm, Tuesday - Saturday.



  • $5 adults
  • $4 seniors age 65+
  • $3 Youth age 3-12
  • 2 and under free.

Group tours are available.  Reservations are requested for groups of 10 or more.

Farm Equipment Tour
This tour showcases our historic farm implements and tractors as well as the vehicles in the Red Barn and is available through a reservation only.   

Lakewood Heritage Center Walking Tour
