RISE Above, formerly Special Populations, has been the recipient of two national awards and numerous state and local awards for our "valuable contribution toward making the lives of persons with disabilities more rich." RISE Above believes that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves choices and options for health, leisure, recreation and wellness in order to provide an enhanced quality of life. RISE Above believes that all individuals should have equal access to activities that interest them and offer them the opportunity to interact with peers and the community. RISE Above believes that it is imperative to provide a wide variety of programming encompassing recreational, educational and therapeutic services to individuals and groups with all types of disabilities.
