If you’ve seen the green line on sidewalks and along streets in northeast Lakewood, you’ve discovered the ArtLine, a four-mile long walking and biking free outdoor gallery with more than 70 pieces of public art. Located in the heart of the state certified 40 West Arts Creative District along historic West Colfax Avenue and the W light rail line, the ArtLine connects city parks, historic neighborhoods, creative businesses and galleries with artwork that ranges from large, iconic dinosaur-inspired sculptures to playful, interactive game murals on the ground.
Tell us what type of art you want to see more of in 2019 and let us know how you want to see that art –organized bike rides, free yoga events, pop-up parties, handstand walking contests on the green line. You get the idea. The sky’s the limit, so let us know what you want
by Dec. 31.

The 40 West ArtLine is the realization of the community’s idea to connect people and places through an interactive walking and biking art experience. It enhances the area’s recreational and cultural assets, and it was partially funded through an Our Town Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, with support from the City of Lakewood, 40 West Arts, Lakewood West Colfax Business Improvement District and other community partners.
