Lakewood hosts third annual INSPIRE Arts Week
Lakewood's Heritage, Culture and the Arts will host INSPIRE Arts Week from Wednesday, June 5 to Saturday, June 15 with a broad array of free and discounted events presented by art and cultural organizations throughout the city.
The 11-day event showcases the vibrant and rich arts culture that exists in metro-Denver's third largest community. Seventeen organizations participate in INSPIRE by producing more than 30 events and exhibits during the 11-day event. The new West Rail Line makes it even easier for metro area residents to come west to experience this smorgasbord of cultural activities.
The week kicks off with the FREE Lakewood Symphony's open dress rehearsal, 7:30 - 10 p.m., Wednesday, June 5 at the Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway. This special behind-the-scenes look gives you a sneak peek at how a symphony comes together in time for the big performance. Return the following evening for the symphony's "Lasting Impressions" concert, 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 6, tickets $15.
