Damaged tree limbs and leaf drop-off

The City of Lakewood will open a drop-off site for residents to recycle broken tree limbs and leaves from this week’s storm.

The drop off will be 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, May 20 at Lakewood’s Greenhouse, 9556 W. Yale Ave.

All material collected will be composted and mulched, so only green, organic waste will be accepted such as tree limbs, yard clippings, leaves and shrub prunings. Residents will be asked to empty bagged leaves on-site and take bags with them.

Items not accepted include sod, rock, dirt, concrete, brick, metal, plywood, brick, concrete, pavers, edging, fencing and other landscape material.

Proof of Lakewood residency is required, but there is no cost to drop off acceptable items. No business or private contractors allowed. For more information, call 303-987-7800.
