Colorado Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is providing notice that it intends to apply for funding from the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency to capitalize the Colorado Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund.  If awarded, these funds will be used to fund environmental cleanup activities at brownfields properties around the state.  The grant will be submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency on October 12th.  For questions or to review/comment on the draft contact Dan Scheppers, Brownfields Coordinator, at 303-692-3398.


 

CITY OF LAKEWOOD'S BROWNFIELDS SUPPORT PROGRAM

Construction, renovation, transfer, or reuse of commercial or industrial property is sometimes hindered by real or perceived environmental issues. The Lakewood Environmental Assessment Support Program can help you fund environmental investigation costs. The program can help you obtain the professional assistance necessary to identify potential concerns and overcome environmental hurdles that may stand in your way

  • The Lakewood Environmental Assessment Support Program can help fund work necessary to obtain a regulatory "No Further Action" determination from the State of Colorado.
  • Environmental investigation activities (Phase I and Phase II) are eligible.
  • Remedial planning and risk assessments necessary to address site conditions are eligible.

Cost Savings for Qualifying Sites

  • The City of Lakewood has pre-negotiated rates with a select group of environmental specialists.
  • These pre-negotiated rates are available to qualifying owners, developers, purchasers, and tenants of properties located within Lakewood's city limits.
