Lakewood
Recycling Center

The City of
Lakewood has opened its first recycling site at 1050 Quail Street
at the City of Lakewood shops. The new unmanned site is open 24-hours
a day, 7 days a week for Lakewood residents. The facility is managed
through City of Lakewood Environmental Management Services. We accept
the following items for recycling:
- Newspapers,
magazines, office paper, junk mail
- Telephone
books
- Aluminum,
glass, plastic, tin and more
- Cardboard

Materials can
be comingled - place any recyclable material in any dumpster.

accepted and other information.
Please
note - the facility does not accept chemicals. Disposal of unused
and unwanted household chemical products can be discarded through
the Rooney Road Recycling Facility located at 151 South Rooney Road
in Golden.

Rooney
Road Recycling Center
Environmental
Services at the City of Lakewood participates with the operation
of the Rooney Road Recycling Facility. The Rooney Road Recycling
Center is one of the largest of its kind in the county, and has
received numerous state and national awards for its operation.
The
center is owned and operated by a coalition of cities and towns
located within the county. This facility gives citizens of Jefferson
County a place to legally and safely dispose of many household
chemicals as well as other services such as -
- Waste
generated by small businesses and electronic items
- Solvents,
paints, waxes, insecticides, used oil, etc.
- e-Waste
- including microwave ovens, cell phones, computers, small appliances,
printers, scanners and more (fees may apply)
