The
Traffic Engineering Division maintains all traffic signs within the city
limits not on state highways. State highways include Wadsworth Boulevard

of Kentucky (SH 391), Colfax Avenue (US 40), 6th Avenue (US 6), Morrison
Road (SH 8), and Hampden Avenue (US 285). Excluding the state highway
roadways, the City maintains approximately 35,000 traffic signs.
Sign
maintenance includes installing knocked down signs, straightening leaning
signs, and ensuring that the signs are legible and serve the appropriate
traffic control purpose.

Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7111. To report sign problems
on a state highway, please call the Colorado Department of Transportation
