Lakewood Recreation offers exciting events during the year for youth, adults and older adults alike. Come join us and have fun while getting your exercise and meeting new people!

Lakewood’s Community Resources Department is updating its master plan in 2017! Community Resources manages Lakewood's parks, recreational, arts and cultural programs and facilities. A final draft is available for your viewing on the Imagine Lakewood! project site, as well as a list of any upcoming events in the process.

Lakewood Trail Running Series

 

Racers and joggers alike are invited to participate in Lakewood's annual Trail Running Series on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. in the month of September. Race distances vary from 4-7 miles and are all held at Bear Creek Lake Park. Registration is $25 per person for a single race, or you can save by signing up for all four for $65 ($60 if registered by September 1).

Let's Doo It! Volunteer Event

 

Join us on Saturday, September 30 for a volunteer event where you can pitch in to pick it up, pack it out and can it on National Public Lands Day! Join our pawsome crew at Forsberg Iron Springs Dog Park for a volunteer pick up event and together, we can help keep our parks clean and safe for everyone!
