Lakewood once again is please to host the Jefferson County Middle School Art Exhibit sponsored by the Jefferson Foundation. This exhibit showcases the most outstanding student work and conveys the artistic skill, quality of design and higher level thinking of local middle school students.
Free and open to the public Mon- Fri 8 a.m - 5 p.m. and Sat. 10 a.m. -2 p.m. from April 10 - May 5

Whole Foods Market at Belmar is holding a Community Gives day to benefit the Lakewood Legacy Foundation on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. 5% of gross sales on April 24 will be used to benefit the creation of a garden at O'Kane Park, 7101 West 1st Ave.
Staff from the City's Urban Parks Division will be onsite at Whole Foods from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on April 24 to talk to customers, answer general horticulture questions and hand out seed packets.
Whole Foods Market at Belmar hosts a Community Gives day four times a year. "This is about us supporting the good work of organizations out there in the community", said Lindsay Halsch, Store Marketing Specialist at Whole Foods Market Belmar.
