The Applewood Business Association meets the second Thursday of the month at Rolling Hills Country Club. Applewood is located in northwest Lakewood includes areas of Golden, Wheat Ridge, and Jefferson County. The liquor licensing authority, officially known as the Lakewood Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage Licensing Authority, makes decisions on the granting or refusal of liquor/beer license applications and conducts hearings on alleged violations. The Authority meets at 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month in the City Council Chambers.

Public invited to participate in Carmody Park's first master plan
The City of Lakewood will host a public meeting to gather input for Carmody Park’s master plan. The meeting will focus on gathering the opinions of the public and user groups about the overall site, circulation, parking, utility and programming needs. Subsequent meetings will include the review of master plan alternatives and the presentation of the preferred master plan to guide future improvements. The master plan is due to be completed by January 2014.
