US 6/Wadsworth Environmental Assessment

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is beginning the process of determining improvements that may be necessary in the future to Wadsworth Boulevard between 3rd Avenue and 13th Avenue, as well as to the 6th Avenue Freeway/Wadsworth Boulevard interchange.

The Environmental Assessment (EA) is being prepared in accordance with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.

CDOT will actively seek input from agencies, businesses, residents and stakeholders along the Wadsworth corridor study area as the study progresses.

CDOT estimates that the EA will take approximately 18 to 24 months to complete.

The City of Lakewood is a participant in the EA process, but is not responsible for the study. CDOT has hired CH2M Hill as the consultant for the project.
