Commission for an Inclusive Community (ACIC)
ACIC currently has several openings for unexpired terms. Members of
the ACIC serve in an advisory role to the Lakewood City Council. In this
advisory role, ACIC members research specific issues or topics of interest to
the citizens of Lakewood and make recommendations to City Council regarding
those issues for potential action. Members should plan to attend a minimum of
two meetings a month; a Full Commission Meeting and a committee meeting.

Commission – Ward 2:
The City of
Lakewood has one opening on the Planning Commission for a Ward 2 resident. The opening is for an unexpired term that commenced
on April 1, 2014 and will expire on March 31, 2018.
The Planning Commission conducts public hearings on rezoning and subdivision
applications, approves certain special use permits, and reviews site plans.
Additionally, Planning Commission Members serve on the Board of Adjustment. The
Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays of each
month for regular meetings and at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays
of each month for study session meetings.
