April 12, 2007:
Lakewood police detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for a woman they believe intentionally set fire to the family's residence and then fled.

Police detectives and West Metro Fire investigators believe that 47-year-old Nancy Jean Jewett started the fire that damaged the family's townhome at 408 S. Balsam St. shortly after 2:00 am yesterday morning.

Jewett's husband, her two children ages 19 & 24 as well as a boyfriend of the 24-year-old, were in the residence when the fire broke out and were able to escape.

The warrant charges Jewett with four counts of attempted murder. She is believed to be driving a green 1998 Buick Century 4-door, Colorado license plate # 641-KNG.
