Whole Foods Shoppers Benefit Youth with Disabilities

Whole Foods Market in Lakewood will benefit area youth with a “Community 5% Day,” on which a total of five percent of the day's net sales will be donated to the two charities:

• Friends of Paha, which funds the City of Lakewood's Camp Paha, a day camp for children and young adults with disabilities
• Denver SCORES, Denver’s only after-school program that uses soccer to inspire literacy and civic responsibility among urban youth.

Camp Paha campers, families and staff will be on site sharing camp activities with kids, face painting and a dunking booth. Student poets from Denver SCORES, ages 8 to 12, will be on hand throughout the day reading their own original poetry and meeting shoppers.
