Lakewood police detectives have arrested two men that responded to a local hotel to have sex with a female who they believed to be 17 years old.

On May 22, an undercover female police agent posted an advertisement on the Internet web site "Craig's List," as a prostitute who was "almost legal". She received separate calls from the two men and directed them to a local hotel. During the calls, the female agent made it clear that she was 17 years old.

The men responded at different times and met the undercover agent who again indicated that she was 17 years old. Both men acknowledged, however, still negotiated a deal to have sex with the female.

Detectives from the Lakewood Police Department as well as the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office entered the room each time and arrested the men.

Those arrested were identified as 35-year-old Emiliano Delgado Rodriguez and 27-year-old Noberto Butanda.

Both were arrested on charges of "soliciting for child prostitution" and "criminal attempt." Butanda was also arrested for "child abuse" when it was discovered that he had left his 2-year-old daughter in his vehicle while he went to the room to meet the female.
