2025 Special Vacancy Election:
Councilor Steward has announced resignation effective date for January 7, 2025.
Councilor Olver has announced his resignation effective date for December 31, 2024.
A special election was called by the City Council at the January 6th Special Meeting to be held on March 25, 2025.
Candidates may now stop by the City Clerk's Office to pick up a candidate information packet. City of Lakewood GIS Ward Map Petitions are due by 5 p.m. on Monday January 27th.
2025 November General Election Timeline:
Sat, Sept. 20: Military and overseas ballots mailed
Fri, Oct. 9: Local ballots mailed, drop boxes open
Mon, Oct. 27: Vote centers open, last day to mail your ballot
Tues, Nov. 4: Election Day, ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m.

City of Lakewood Elections. The City Clerk is the elections official for all regular and special elections in the City of Lakewood.
- All municipal elections for the Lakewood City Council are nonpartisan.
- Regular municipal elections for the Lakewood City Council, and for local ballot questions to Lakewood voters, are held on the first Tuesday in November of odd-numbered years.
