Parade Permit

A parade permit allows the applicant to conduct a parade or bicycle/pedestrian race on a city street.

Online Parade Permit Process

Step 1.Gather Required Documentation

  • Maps or drawings showing the area where the parade is located
  • Approval from the Colorado Department of Transportation, if the route uses any state highway
  • Signed letter on official letterhead stating what the activity concerns. For civic, patriotic, public or charitable events only
  • Proof of General/Commercial/Business Liability Insurance of not less than $2 million aggregate/$1 million per occurrence and/or Automobile Insurance of not less than $1 million per person/$2 million per accident.  Such policy/ies shall name the City of Lakewood as an additional insured, shall be primary and noncontributory, and shall waive rights of recovery/subrogation.  Specific coverages will depend on the nature of the activity as determined by the City.

  • $25 non-refundable application fee
  • $5 permit fee

Step 4.Await our Response

 

APPROVAL OF PERMIT

Your application will be routed to Traffic Engineering and the Police Department for their approval. This routing process may take up to 10 days. You will be notified by this office of approval/disapproval.
