Lodging Facility License - New

The Lakewood City Council passed Ordinance O-2019-2 on June 28, 2019, adding a new Chapter 5.56 requiring lodging facilities to be licensed in the City of Lakewood.

Step 1.Download and complete license application

Step 2.Gather required documentation

Legal description of the property (you can contact the Jeffco Assessor's Office at 303-271-8600
Proof of possession of premise (Deed or current signed lease)
Floor plan (to include the number of rooms contained in the lodging facility)
Certificate of Zoning (Obtain from the Planning Department or via POD@Lakewood.org)
Certificate of Good Standing as evidence that the corporation or Limited Liability is in good standing under the statutes of the State of Colorado.

Step 3.Submit application, documents and fees to the City Clerk's Office

Application fee $350
Annual license fee $400

Total fees due is $750 made payable to the "City of Lakewood" by check or money order.
