2024 General Election Timeline.
Sat, Sept. 21: Military and overseas ballots mailed
Fri, Oct. 11: Local ballots mailed, drop boxes open
Mon, Oct. 28: Vote centers open, last day to mail your ballot
Tues, Nov. 5: Last day to vote

Colorado Voter Information. The Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder and the Colorado Secretary of State's website have numerous election resources to help voter:

City of Lakewood Elections.  The City Clerk is the elections official for all regular and special elections in the City of Lakewood. 

  • All municipal elections for the Lakewood City Council are nonpartisan.
  • Regular municipal elections for the Lakewood City Council, and for local ballot questions to Lakewood voters, are held on the first Tuesday in November of odd-numbered years.

Chapter 2.52 of the Lakewood Municipal Code pertains to the initiative and referendum process in the city of Lakewood.  This chapter provides all necessary information for circulating and filing such petitions.

Any business selling alcoholic beverages in the city of Lakewood must obtain a state liquor/beer license, a city liquor/beer license and must comply with Colorado Revised Statutes and the Lakewood Municipal Code.
