COVID-19 Nonprofit Impact Grant
Application period is now closed
The City of Lakewood is offering a second round of emergency grant opportunities to assist nonprofit organizations that serve Lakewood residents.
- Funding for this grant opportunity comes from the City of Lakewood's share of the U.S. CARES Act.
- City Council has approved $375,000 for this grant opportunity.
- Second-round application period closed Sept. 9. Grant awards will be announced soon.

Eligibility Criteria for Nonprofit Organizations
To be eligible for this grant, your organization must:

Have a principal place of business in Jefferson County, Colorado.

Be registered as a Colorado non-profit organization with the Colorado Secretary of State and be organized in the state of Colorado.

Have a current certificate of good standing from the Colorado Secretary of State.
-
Have a 501(c)(3) status.
-
Have been in operation for at least three years.

Must be able to spend funds within the requirements of the U.S. CARES Act.
Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:

Grant request is for goods and/or a service provision (no funds will be granted for personnel expenses)
-
Proposed service and/or purchase of goods must demonstrate relief for Lakewood residents as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak
-
Clear understanding and demonstration that funds will be used to enhance capacity or augment efforts already being conducted by the organization related to COVID-19 relief
-
Demonstration that Lakewood residents will be the recipients of services/goods through grant funds awarded
-
Clear goals and impact measures

Reasonable program costs and funds requested
