A sunset takes place over Bear Creek Lake.

Lakewood is proud to offer 114 parks totaling over 7,400 acres of open space, including the crowd favorite Bear Creek Lake Park.

Park goers are encouraged to utilize 240 miles of trails for biking, walking, hiking and horseback riding.

Rent a Park Shelter

2024 reservations are now available. 2025 reservations will be available beginning January 2, 2025 at 10 a.m. MST.

Permanent bathrooms at Addenbrooke, Carmody's family restroom, Daniels, Kendrick Lake, Lakewood, O'Kane and Ray Ross Parks are closed for the season. Port-o-lets are available, as well as at Mountair and Morse Parks.

Addenbrooke Park

This park has it all! Walking and biking paths, baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, picnic shelters and restrooms. There is a beautiful lake with mountain views as well as a horse arena and trails.

Aviation Park

1900 Teller St., Lakewood, CO 80214

Aviation Park is one of three city parks connected by the 40 West Artline, a 4-mile walking and biking outdoor gallery experience in northeast Lakewood. The park is located on the site of the former Aviation Country Club, a social club for WWII pilots and other aviation personnel in the 1950s. Prior to that it was the Broadmoor Country Club, which hosted big name entertainers like Lawrence Welk.

Bear Creek Greenbelt Park

Bear Creek Lake Park

This 2,624-acre natural park hosts over a half-million visits annually! Bear Creek Lake Park offers opportunities to hike, camp, fish, boat, windsurf, mountain or road bike, hit the swim beach or head to the archery range.

Beech Park

Ahoy Matey! Football, baseball, and a pirate ship fill this neighborhood park, home of Green Mountain youth sports. A pirate-themed playground satisfies younger siblings need to burn energy.

Bellows Park

Belmar Park

One of the true jewels of the City of Lakewood park system, Belmar Park is a peaceful enclave in the center of town. At 132 rolling acres of natural grasslands and trees, the park offers nearly two miles of paved trails, over 17-acres of water, a creek and a wide variety of waterfowl and native plant communities.

Blue Star Memorial Park
