INDOOR AND OUTDOOR POOLS
Indoor pools at Carmody, Green Mountain and Link Recreation Center pools provide lap and open swim year-round. Outdoor pools at Morse and Glennon Heights parks provide seasonal swimming. View calendars via the links below.

- M/W/F, 5:15-6:30 a.m.: GMRC short course*
- M/W/F/SA, 6:45-8 a.m.: GMRC short course*
- T/R, 5:15-6:30 a.m.: Carmody long course**
- T/R, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Carmody short course**
A Lakewood Masters pass is required for all Masters Swim Team practices at all locations. Purchase a pass online.

Lifeguard Training
LIFEGUARD TRAINING
This course will give you all the certifications necessary to become a professional lifeguard: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED and First Aid. Certifications are good for two years.
Skills Test: The following skills must be performed before participants are allowed in Lifeguard training class:
- Swim 300 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both.
- Tread water for 2 minutes using only your legs.
- Retrieve a 10 pound brick in 12-foot deep water without assistance and without goggles.
Ages: 15 and up
Fee: $175 Resident, $205 Nonresident
Location: Carmody Recreation Center
A wide variety of arts and history classes are offered to all skill levels. Programs take place at Washington Heights Arts Center, Lakewood Cultural Center, Heritage Lakewood and Clements Community Center.

The Lakewood Link Recreation Center is home to a 2,000 square foot wall with bouldering, lead and top-rope climbing.
Open Climb
Two-hour open climb reservations are offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday morning to early afternoon. A use fee or climbing pass is required.
Climbing Registration
Interested in learning how to waltz, salsa, belly dance, tap and more? The city offers a wide variety of dance classes to teens and adults. Classes and recitals take place at the Lakewood Cultural Center.

Drop-In
All classes are registration classes with drop-in options.
For those who can only participate when schedule permits, drop-in fee is $10 for 1-hour classes and $12 for 1.5 hour classes.
For classes in which a partner is required, price is per person.
Private Dance Instruction
Looking to dust off your dancing shoes, get ready for a special event, or prefer more personalized attention? Book a single, three or five-lesson package in the dance of your choice, scheduled at your convenience. A variety of styles are offered.

A climbing wall is located at the Link Recreation Center. Open wall climb is available by reservation; visit Lakewood.org/Link to reserve. Climbers can purchase a pass or pay by reservation.

Field and Court Rentals
The city offers athletic field and basketball court rentals for practices, games and more. Visit Lakewood.org/FieldRentals for more details and to fill out a request.
Unified Sports combines athletes with and without disabilities on teams that compete against other Unified Sports teams. This pioneer program provides sporting competition and team opportunities for athletes seeking new and different challenges.
