The Community Resources Department purchased just over three acres of property in 2022 at 2965 S. Kipling St. This property has been surrounded by the Bear Creek Greenbelt since 1993 when The Bear Subdivision was approved.  Until the pedestrian bridge was built over Bear Creek, many users of the Bear Creek Trail mistook this private property owner’s driveway as a continuation of the trail.  The property is now an addition of the Bear Creek Greenbelt.

Future public engagement opportunities will determine any development of the site including a trail extension. Currently the site is maintained as open space. Check back to this page for future updates.
