The city of Lakewood’s Sunset park is getting a facelift. The existing safety surfacing at the playground is being replaced with ADA compliant engineered wood fiber play surfacing. The access ramp into the play pit will be replaced with a fully ADA compliant access ramp. Along with these accessibility and maintenance upgrades, the two damaged spring toys are being replaced with new, safe and updated editions. These improvements are planned to begin in late fall of this year and targeted for completion in the spring of 2024.
