Access Lakewood

Access Lakewood logo of four half circles in green, blue, red and yellow The Access Lakewood Program within the City of Lakewood has been established to ensure that all the city's programs, services, activities and facilities are accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. The program coordinates and monitors the city's compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations related to accessibility. The dedicated staff within the City of Lakewood will focus on improving our accessibility through the provision of information, resources, guidance and education.

Vision 

Our vision is for the City of Lakewood to be fully accessible to all individuals regardless of any disability. 

Mission 

Our mission is to ensure that all city programs, services, activities and facilities are accessible and usable by all residents of Lakewood, as well as our visitors. 

Guiding Principles 

We believe that achieving accessibility requires a collaborative effort between the city and community members. By working together, we can create an inclusive environment that meets the needs of all individuals, including those with disabilities. Community involvement and input are essential in identifying barriers, implementing solutions and fostering a culture of accessibility.
