Youth Enrichment Support

The YES program is offered by the Lakewood Probation Department to serve as a community service opportunity connecting youth with positive pro-social activities within their community to participate in. The goal of the program is to expose youth to a variety of activities in the hopes that they will find one of interest and start to participate in that activity out in the community reducing their risk of continued court involvement. Activities include basketball, pickleball, rock climbing, yoga, equipment orientation, etc. At the end of each activity, probation staff gives the youth a free rec center pass allowing them another free trip to build a connection to the community rec centers.
