January 2025 Update Lakewood has bid for construction a project to replace the traffic signal at the intersection of West 20th Avenue and Teller Street. Sidewalk will be added on the south side of 20th from west of Vance Street to east of Teller to fill in the sidewalk gap in this area. Stormwater sewer will also be added to help mitigate drainage issues in the area. Drivers in the area could experience temporary lane shifts or closures, but no full road closures or detours are expected as part of this project. Construction is expected to begin in March, and last for two-three months.
