Several sewer providers serve residents in different areas of Lakewood. The City of Lakewood provides sanitary sewer service only in north Lakewood.

NOTE: Property owners are responsible for maintaining their private sewer service line from their building to the sewer main in the street.

For the area in north Lakewood served by the City of Lakewood sewer utility, the Public Works Maintenance Division maintains the city's sanitary sewer mains. For customer service with sewer line maintenance or blockage issues, visit Request Lakewood.

Sanitary Sewer Engineering/New Buildings

Sewer Availability Certificate(PDF, 459KB) must be completed for all new buildings in the city. The certificate is available online or at the Building Permits Counter at Civic Center North, 470 S. Allison Parkway., 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
